Colors of the Wind 风之彩

 《风中奇缘》（Pocahontas）剧情改编自美国本土的历史故事，影片描写了一个从欧洲来到这一片新大陆的白人青年，与当地印地安部落首领的女儿Pocahontas之间的爱情故事；以及贪婪凶横的总督，倔强的印地安武士，还有逗趣的浣熊、小啄木鸟和哈巴狗，可看性是很强的。影片中阐述的不同种族、不同习俗的民族之间可以相互沟通、互相尊重的主题，是具有现实意义的。当然，一贯的迪斯尼传统，影片中的音乐成分是很重的，也很精致，迪斯尼公司再度请得艾伦．曼肯（Alan Menken）出马，他为《小美人鱼》（Little Mermaid, The），《美女与野兽》（Beauty And The Beast），《阿拉丁》（Aladdin）创造了浪漫音乐的奇迹，也为自己赢得六座奥斯卡奖，六座格林美奖及十一座金球奖。这次为《风中奇缘》（Pocahontas）配乐，更丝毫不减大师功力。填词由两获格林美的奖斯蒂芬-舒瓦兹（Stephen Schwartz）操刀。主唱则请来范妮莎-威廉姆斯（Vanessa Williams），使片中那种深沉的感伤、却又自由新生的浪漫气氛展露无遗。相信看过动画片《风中奇缘》的人都记得那个喜欢聆听自然的声音的印地安少女宝嘉康蒂，记得这首主题曲《风之彩》。

这首歌的歌词虽然很简单，意义却是非常深远的。而故事里白人和印第安人的关系，以及歌曲里人类和大自然的关系，都值得我们去深思。我们的家园现在面临的不也正是这样的情况吗？为了经济的发展，树林砍掉了；草原破坏了；河流不再清澈；安静的生活也一去不返。我们小的时候能去山上爬树、水里捞鱼，而如今的孩子只能住在钢筋水泥的“树林”里玩着电脑游戏。当你摒弃了以自我为中心的态度，当你放开心胸爱我们身边的自然，相信你能体会到风的色彩.

　　闭上眼睛，伴着乐曲，仿佛看见那个浑身上下充满着野性的少女立于高高的山头，凝神谛听，穿过印地安山林的风拂过她的面颊，使她沉静。她本可以跟随斯迈斯回英国，去见识另一个世界，然而，她选择了留下，因为风儿在她耳边诉说，说她属于这片山林，属于这里的风，所以，宝嘉康蒂骄傲的问斯迈斯：“你能绘出风之彩吗？”
